Fabien Postel-Vinay is a professor of economics at University College London and a Research Director at the Institute for Fiscal Studies. He is also an IZA Research Fellow, a member of the Centre for Macroeconomics and a founding member of the European Search and Matching (SaM) network. He received his Ph.D. in economics at Université de Paris I in 1998.
